Vice Pres. Robredo Airs Side After Roque Pointed Out Daughters’ Tweets

ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo defended her daughters over their Tweets amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.

Recently, Vice Pres. Robredo earned negative remarks from Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte over the issues amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. The latter is seemingly accusing the Vice President of asking his whereabouts amid the calamity.

Pres. Duterte said that he was in the Palace attending the Summit. He also stressed that the military was already deployed two days before the calamity took place.

Vice Pres. Leni Robredo reacted and said that she never asked about the whereabouts of Pres. Duterte. Recently, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque pointed out the Tweets of the daughters of the Vice President.

Tricia stated in a Tweet, “Tulog pa rin? Alas otsona”. Her sister, Aika, responded, “Sabado eh. Weekend”.

After the Presidential Spokesman cited his daughters’ posts on social media, Vice Pres. Robredo came to defend her daughters. In a Facebook post, she stated that she has always been proud of her daughters. She stressed that that they are “outspoken and rightfully so”.

“They are their own persons. What they have accomplished, so far, are all borne out of their hardwork. They never used our name or whatever little influence we have to get what they want. They’re all adults now. They’re not in government. They are not politicians and they don’t plan to be,” Robredo stated in her post.

The Vice President stated that they have trained her daughters to stand up for themselves and their beliefs. She asked the public to help in reporting the peddlers of false information.
