Panelo, Lorenzana Say Sorry to Robredo Over Wrong Information

PANELO – Palace’s Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana apologized to Vice President Leni Robredo.

In his recent national address, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte slammed Vice Pres. Leni Robredo over the issues amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. The said tropical storm brought heavy rains that triggered flooding in many areas in the country.

Residents in Marikina, Rizal, and Cagayan climbed their rooftops to escape from the rising water level amid the onslaught of Ulysses. In Catanduanes, the heavy rains triggered rockslide and flooding.

Amid the onslaught of the typhoon, #NasaanAngPangulo trended on social media. In his latest national address, Pres. Duterte stressed that he was awake then and attending the Summit in the Palace.

Pres. Duterte slammed Vice Pres. Robredo for supposedly asking his whereabouts – which the Vice President debunked. She stressed that she never asked about the President and she also expressed that there is no need to compete in helping the victims of the typhoon.

The Vice President was curios on what triggered the President that much. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, she said that he is surrounded by peddlers of wrong information.

Palace’s Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo and Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana apologized to Vice Pres. Robredo. Based on the report, they said sorry to the Vice President over the wrong information that she used the government plane in distributing the relief goods to the typhoon victims.

However, Panelo is reportedly not sorry for criticizing Vice Pres. Robredo. According to him, she should have spoken and defended the President when the people were asking about him.
