Pokwang Expose Fake Kumu Account Using Her Popularity to Earn Money
TV5 host-comedienne Pokwang warned her followers against Kumu account using her name and popularity
Kumu is a Pinoy community platform where users can live stream, play live games, and participate in various promotions. ABS-CBN also uses the Kumu app and artists often have shown there.
Meanwhile, Pokwang recently warned the person pretending to be her in the Kumu app. She said she doesn’t have an account nor register on the Kumu app.
She exposed the fake account to keep her fans safe because they might be asking for gems. Because gems in Kumu can be turned into cash, so Pokwang warns that she is not the one handling the account.

The creator of the Pokwang’s fake account in Kumu also used the comedienne’s picture. Many scammers favorite to use Pokwang because there multiple users on Facebook using her name.
However, others have given up because the comedienne has reported and exposed them online. According to the report of Abante, Pokwang said via Facebook Messenger that the fake Kumu account that uses her name and picture was already closed.
“Naku, pina-shutdown ko na. Nag ask ako ng help sa isang friend ko na may kakilala sa Kumu!” said Pokwang.
Meanwhile, Liza Soberano’s name was used to create a Facebook account lambasting DDS (Duterte Die-hard Supporters). Liza Soberano’s manager Ogie Diaz is now seeking help after a fake social media account was discovered using the name of Liza.
