Is this the reason why the contract between Kris Bernal and GMA 7 was not finalized yet?
Actress Kris Bernal has been an exclusive contract artist of GMA 7 since she started her showbiz career, however, they haven’t renewed the contract yet and allegedly this is the story behind this.
In 2016, the alleged network transfer of Kris surfaced. However, later on, she was still seen in the Kapuso network as it was resolved. She continued doing projects.
However, the issue of network transfer once again surfaced amid the pandemic. In addition to this, Kris had appearances on TV5 shows which fueled the network switch rumors.
A previous report stated that the actress was devastated upon learning that GMA refused to renew her contract. She also said that as she is now a freelancer, she can accept work from other networks.
However, based on the article by entertainment columnist Rose Garcia in Abante, as they know it, the contract of Kris Bernal with GMA 7 is still under negotiation.
Although the actress has an upcoming weekly series on TV5, apparently, she is still working with GMA as she was seen at the network’s building just recently. She posted about this on her Instagram account.
Garcia also revealed in her article that the previous time that Kris did not immediately signed a new contract with GMA, she allegedly went to ABS-CBN and offered herself to work with the network.
The columnist said that the situation now with the current contract negotiation between Kris Bernal and GMA 7 is still pending since the actress has a few demands. It is said that Kris wanted a co-management and that she already talked to some managers about this.
