Kris Bernal also has to do this career move
Actress Kris Bernal shared that the adjustments were challenging when she decided to move from TV to social media.
Amid the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrities and the whole entertainment industry are being innovative in order to continue working. Lock-in taping and shooting are just normal now as well as online interviews and shows.
Several celebrities who were active on TV before also ventured into social media platforms like YouTube and they are now called vloggers. One of them is Kris Bernal.
Based on the article from GMA Entertainment, the actress shared that during the quarantine, she had the chance to widen the reach of her social media accounts, especially on the video-sharing social media platform.
However, during an interview on New Normal: The Survival Guide, Kris admitted that it was not easy shifting from TV to social media. “Ang viewers ko talaga are the ones na nanonood ng TV. Even if you check my social media, talaga ‘yung market ko, hindi pang-online,” she said.
She is one of the actresses in the Kapuso network who did several afternoon and primetime dramas. However, the actress said that she had to cope up with the changes in the industry and she had to improve her popularity on social media.
“I really make an effort, as in super effort talaga, na palakasin ang socia media accounts ko like nagTi-TikTok na rin ako kahit ‘di naman ako sumasayaw,” she shared.
Being a businesswoman she is also using the social media to promote her business. “Talagang tinatrabaho ko ngayon my social media accounts kasi lahat ng work ko ngayon, lahat social media, e. I have a physical restaurant na market na siya ngayon, parang all in one market, e,” the actress added.
Kris Bernal also shared that she has learned to survive from her bashers, especially those who are body-shaming her. She said that she would just block the accounts with mean comments against her.
