Kris Bernal Officially Transfers To TV5 w/ New Weekly Series

Kris Bernal, from Kapuso network to Kapatid network

Former Kapuso actress Kris Bernal officially transfers to T5 and she is set to star in a new weekly series Ate Ng Ate Ko.

Kris has started her career in show business in the Kapuso network when she won in a talent search. Following that stint, she was given various TV and movie projects under GMA network.

However, amid the pandemic, Kris is one of the celebrities who struggled when it comes to having no projects. It was even revealed in a previous article that she felt depressed when her contract with GMA was not renewed.

Her contract expired during the quarantine period and the reasons being pointed out why it was not renewed was the fact that shows and productions are limited amid the new normal. She was not given any new projects.

Following this, Kris Bernal was rumored planning to transfer to other networks. She said that since she is a freelance artist now, it is just normal that she will accept projects outside GMA.

The talks about her network transfer even aggravated when she appeared on TV5’s Sunday Noontime Live. Prior to this, she also appeared on Chika, BESH!

Based on the article from PEP, Kris finally has a regular project on TV5. She will star in the weekly series with Isabelle de Leon, Joem Bascon, and Jake Cuenca. This is set to premiere on November 23 and will air every Monday at 9:30 p.m.

Back in 2016, network transfer rumors involving Kris Bernal had circulated but she remained a Kapuso. Last year, she even received a star in GMA-7’s Walk of Fame.
