On Monday (November 16, 2020), Baggao town Mayor Joan Dunuan said that the town is now needing medicines as some residents in the areas are already suffering from illnesses. The residents are reportedly experiencing colds and other diseases.
The town mayor also said that several roads in the area remain impassable due to the effects of the flood. The authorities are still conducting an ongoing clearing operations. They could not transport patients to Tuguegarao for treatment.
Dunuan said that around 265 residents have already evacuated due to the threat of landslide since most houses in the area were made of light materials. The severe flooding washed out the houses.
