The phrase “Kay Leni” became one of the top trending topics on Twitter on the afternoon of November 16 due to this question of Senator Imee Marcos.
It is a known fact that Vice President Leni Robredo was the opponent of Imee’s brother Bongbong Marcos during the national election in 2016. Until now, Marcos is still disputing against VP Leni for the result of the election four years ago.
On Monday afternoon, the name of the Vice President once again trended on the micro-blogging social media platform. These past few days, netizens have been talking about her due to her relief efforts and her office were doing amid the typhoon Ulysses.
Just recently, her name once again caught the attention of the Twitter world. It is because of the video of Sen. Imee Marcos. Based on the Twitter post of writer Kurt Adrian Dela Pena, the lawmaker handed some relief items to the government of Isabela on Monday.
Talking to the provincial executives, she saw a pile of bed foams and asked if those items were the ones she donated. The executives answered, “‘Di. Kay Leni ‘yan. Kay Leni ‘yan.” Then, Imee Marcos asked, “kay Leni?”
