Aerial Footage of Tuguegarao Amid Flood Caused by Typhoon Ulysses

AERIAL FOOTAGE OF TUGUEGARAO – The provinvce of Cagayan is currently submerged in flood due to Typhoon Ulysses.

Several cities and provinces in the Philippines faced the wrath of Typhoon Ulysses. Sadly, many of these areas were just recovering from Typhoon Rolly then and had to start again.

Prior to Ulysses bringing heavy rains, storm signals were up in areas where the typhoon will pass. Preventive evacuation have taken place but there are still unforeseen circumstances.

Many areas in Marikina that were not usually reached by flood before were reached by the flood amid the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. Many of the residents affected went on their rooftops to avoid the rising water level.

Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro called for help from the national government amid the onslaught of Ulysses. Their 50 rubber boats were not enough to rescue all the residents stuck in their rooftops.

The province of Catanduanes was also hit by Typhoon Ulysses. It caused landslide and flooding in the province that was just recovering from Rolly then.

Another province, Cagayan, is also submerged in flood now due to Ulysses. Posts asking for help for the residents of the province make rounds on social media since midnight.

Tuguegarao, a city in Cagayan, is currently submerged in flood. The Cagayan Provincial Information Office (CPIO) and the SBN Special Coverage posted an aerial footage of Tuguegarao that is now braving the floodwater like an ocean:

The national government assured rescue efforts are on the way to Cagayan province now. The teams have a hard time entering the province due to flood.
