Direk Bobet Vidanes Resigns? What Will Happen To “Its Showtime”?

Cristy Fermin says Direk Bobet Vidanes resigns from ABS-CBN. Is this true?

DIREK BOBET VIDANES – “Its Showtime” Direk Bobet Vidanes resigns from ABS-CBN as per Cristy Fermin and will transfer to Brightlight Productions.

Filipino television director Bobet Vidanes is known and loved for his works such as It’s Showtime and Pilipinas, Game KNB and for directing Pinoy adaptation of  Got Talent franchise and Idol franchise. To recall, based on a previous article, amid the struggles of his network to have a franchise renewal, the director firmly said this in his noontime show:

“65 taon na pong nagseserbisyo ang ABS-CBN. ABS-CBN di bale, kahit na magwalis na tayo at magsasaka na lang tayo, sama-sama pa rin tayo.”

And now, according to Cristy Fermin, the director is resigning from the network and will leave his noontime show which ran for over 11 years already up until now. The noontime show he created is among the few Kapamilya programs which stood strongly amid the adversities of the network.

In Cristy Ferminute, the old broadcaster revealed that the resignation of the director is already confirmed. She said, “Pag-usapan natin and pagre-resign ng isang director sa ABS-CBN at sa kanyang lunch time show. Si Direk Bobet Vidanes nag-resign! Iniwan ang Showtime. Kompirmado na yan!”

She then gave a brief background of the director. Accordingly, he started as an audio man until he became a camera man. He then got to marry Cory Vidanes, one of the big bosses of the network, and they got three children. His career prospered as a director in the Kapamilya network.

Throwing shade at his statement before his people and show’s hosts “walang iwanan”, Fermin dropped that he is transferring Brightlight Productions. Cory Vidanes, his ex-wife, has already told the Showtime staff and hosts about his resignation according to the November 11 streaming of the female reporter.
