Class Suspensions for Thursday (November 12) Due to Typhoon Ulysses

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in several areas due to Typhoon Ulysses.

Typhoon Ulysses with international name Vamco has been last spotted at 100 kilometers north of Virac, Catanduanes. It has maximum sustained winds of 125 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 155 kph.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said that the typhoon may reach a peak intensity of 130 kph to 155 kph before making a landfall. Several parts of Luzon are already under tropical cyclone wind signal No. 3.

Class Suspensions

Malacañang Palace has released Memorandum Circular No.82, which suspends the government work and classes in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon for November 11 and 12, 2020 due to the impact of Typhoon Ulysses.

Here is the list of areas covered by the class suspension:

  • Metro Manila
  • Cagayan Valley
  • Central Luzon
  • Calabarzon
  • Mimaropa
  • Bicol
  • Cordillera Administrative Region

However, the Palace said that private schools, companies, and offices should wait for the announcement of their respective heads for class and work cancellation.
