Nigerian National Nabbed, P6.8M Worth Of Illegal Drugs Seized

NIGERIAN NATIONAL – Policemen recently retrieved P6.8 million worth of suspected illegal drugs from a Nigerian national in Las Piñas City.

The Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) identified the suspect as Kingsley Chidi Iwumune, aged 46 and a resident of 19 Athens Street in Sta. Cecila, according to a report from GMA News.

At least one kilogram of suspected drugs was retrieved from the suspect in an operation at All Homes Supermarket along Gatchalian Avenue at 8:15 PM.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the PNP – DEG who, in turn, will file proper charges against the suspect.

Based on the report, the PNP-DEG vows to continue its anti-illegal drugs operations amid COVID-19 pandemic as part of its efforts to win against its war on drugs.

Last month, three drug suspects were arrested in separate operations the cities of Parañaque and Taguig.

PNP-DEG arrested two suspects in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque and one in C5 Waterfun, with the latter believed to be an online seller.

Retrieved from the two in Parañaque were illegal drugs worth at about P81.6 million; while P122.4 million worth of drugs was retrieved from one in Taguig.
