Former Teacher Harold Dauates Goes Viral for Teaching Nephew Despite Disability
MALUNGON, SARANGANI – A former teacher identified as Harold Dauates shows his passion in teaching despite his disability.
A Facebook user named Cathy Cataluna has shared the inspiring photos of his older brother teaching her son with his lessons. The heartwarming photos went viral and earned various reactions from netizens.
Harold Dauates is a mathematics teacher for nine years but his career come to an end after he suffered stroke in 2012. The former teacher suffered nerve damage in some parts of his body and filed a disability retirement in 2014.
In the photos, it can be seen that the disabled man is teaching Cathy’s son named Bernz Kristoff Cataluña with his lesson. He showed his passion when it comes to teaching despite his incapability.
Cathy also admitted that she is always busy because of her work but he is thankful to her brother for guiding and teaching Kristoff. “Masaya po talaga ako na and’yan ang nag-iisang kapatid ko para umalalay sa mga anak ko,” Cathy said.
