It turned out that Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach is the winner and this epic incident will always leave a mark and remain in pageant’s history.

And with this, when she talked about Pia being a ghost during the pageant, many people reacted to it and she received backlash because of her statement. She even said that Pia is not someone she imagined she would be competing with and Miss Bulgaria, the one who pushed Pia then to get the crown after the announcement of winners, once again came in defense for her friend Pia.

Speaking about the backlash, Miss Colombia 2015, in an exclusive interview with Jeff Fernando, said that what happened is a big misunderstanding and wrong translation of her statement. She clarified that what actually said is that during the pageant way back 2015, she never saw Pia and never had the opportunity to talk to her.

But despite the horrible comments about her from Pinoys, she didn’t take it all personally. What mattered to her are the sweet messages she received from some and she also have Filipino friends who are sweet and respectful to her.

She said, “And I’m glad that you’re asking me, because I don’t take it personally when people come up to me and bash me and say horrible things to me.”
