Homeless Grade 2 Student Living in Cemetery Uses Tombs As Her Classroom
The heartbreaking photo of a homeless grade 2 student who using the cemetery as her classroom touched the hearts of netizens.
A lot of Filipino people are already struggling with the lack of job opportunity and extreme poverty. The coronavirus pandemic even make the situation of our less-fortunate countrymen more difficult.
Due to extreme poverty, most Filipino students are struggling with the online learning system. The distant learning make students spend on load to complete their school activities or to attend their online classes.
The Facebook page “GMA News” has shared the photo of a grade 2 students studying at a cemetery, which serves as her classroom. The photo circulates online and garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photo, it can be seen that the young kid is studying and completing her school works. The little child is currently living at Manila South Cemetery in Makati City together with her poor family.
Maika grew up in a poor family and currently residing at the cemetery. She is a grade two student of F. Benitez Elementary School.
