Three People In Hamtic Town, Antique Arrested Over Gambling
HAMTIC TOWN – Three people in Barangay Mapatag, Hamtic town, Antique, were arrested after they were caught for illegal gambling.

According to a report from Panay News, the suspect were identified as Romulo Tarosa, aged 70; Emilia Guanco, aged 50; and Ma. Loida Silvestre, aged 67. They were all residents of Barangay Mapatag, according to police reports.
The three suspects were caught playing the illegal card game tong-its at around 3 PM on October 12, the report says.
Policemen of Hamtic were patrolling the area when they caught Tarosa, Guanco, and Silvestre red-handed for doing the said act.
Recovered from the three suspect were a deck of playing cards, and P468 worth of gambling money.
The suspects were taken to the municipal police station and will be charged for violating Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling, based on the report.
