Jay Sonza has this post of the Kapamilya network
Former broadcaster Jay Sonza shared this post for the Kapamilya “5th month-sara” and he slammed the network’s partnership with Zoe TV.
It is confirmed that Zoe TV will carry the Kapamilya show as the franchise application of ABS-CBN was denied. Although many shows and talent of the TV giant already transferred to TV5, there are still some shows being aired on cable networks and digital platforms.
As it has been 5 months since the decision of the House of Representatives was released regarding the franchise application of ABS-CBN, Sonza commemorated that day.
The former ABS-CBN news anchor shared a post on his Facebook account about this. “Kung walang lalabagin sa prangkisa ng Kongreso at malalabag sa NTC-DICT ang Zoe Broadcasting (Light Network) nina Sen. Tesda Villanueva at Civac Partylist Rep. Eddie Villanueva….malamang-lamang magkikita-kita tayo sa analog Channel 11 VHF ng Zoe operating at 1,000-5,000 watts only,” he said.
However, Jay Sonza has this “patutsada” against the TV giant: “mahina iyong digital transmitter ng Light 33, maliban na lang kung we will illegally use the abs cbn transmitter & satellite uplink & downlink equipment.”
This post garnered various reactions from netizens. Many agreed with what he said and anticipated that ABS-CBN might have another problem and Zoe TV will get involved if Sonza’s theory that the Kapamilya’s transmitter might be used.
On the other hand, solid Kapamilya supporters were ready to defend the TV network that has been part of Filipino lives for more than six decades.
The former journalist is one of the critics of ABS-CBN. It is known to many that he, along with former co-host and now Kapuso journalist Mel Tianga had a legal issue with the Kapamilya network in the past.
Through his social media account, Sonza has been expressing his criticism against the network.
