JOAQUIN PHOENIX – Engaged actors Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara welcomed their first child together and their baby boy’s name will make you weep.
American actor Joaquin Phoenix has received numerous accolades including 2 Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Award, and an Academy Award. He and ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ actress Rooney Mara confirmed their engagement in 2019 when Mara was spotted wearing a large engagement ring.
‘The Joker’ star and Mara first met while filming the science-fiction romantic comedy movie ‘Her’ back in 2012. they made their relationship publicly official in 2017.
Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara may be one of the most private couple but a wonderful news has slipped that the two have welcomed their first child into the world. Based on a report from Elle Australia, the celebrity couple welcomed their baby boy recently and the name will surely make you weep.

According to the report, the news was confirmed by director Victor Kossakovsky during the Q&A session at the 2020 Zurich Film Festival following the screening of his and Joaquin Phoenix film ‘Gunda.’ The Oscar-winning actor worked as executive producer on the film.
Kossakovsky apologized for Joaquin’s absence at the event. He said, “He just got a baby, by the way, his name was… a beautiful son called River, so he cannot promote it now.”
Based on the report, the name ‘River’ is a touching tribute to Joaquin Phoenix’s late brother and actor, River Phoenix. He passed away in 1993 at the age of 23.
