Another Staff of House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano Added To List of COVID-19 Patients of Chamber
ANOTHER STAFF OF HOUSE SPEAKER – Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, another staffer of Alan Peter Cayetano tested positive for COVID-19.
The COVID-19 cases in the Philippines continue to increase. Currently, the entire nation is still under community quarantine measures to curb the spread of the disease.
As of this writing, the total cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Philippines is 296,755. Out of the said total, the Department of Health (DOH) logged 5,127 deaths and 231,928 recoveries.
Also part of the efforts to curb the spread of the disease are the practice of social distancing and the wearing of face masks when going outdoors. Gatherings are also prohibited.

The different branches of the government and as well as several public agencies recorded cases of COVID-19. The House of Representatives now has a total of 82 cases of the disease.
Recently, another staff of House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, House Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales expressed that the said employee experienced dry and itchy throat.
According to Montales, the staff has reported for work from September 21 (Monday) to September 23 (Wednesday). Based on the report, the patient was tested right away after experiencing the symptoms of coronavirus.
Currently, the contact tracing is ongoing. Out of the 81 cases of COVID-19 recorded in the House of Representatives, 13 of it are active cases.
