Net Worth of GMA-7 Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon this 2020
GMA-7 CHAIRMAN – The net worth of Mr. Felipe Gozon, the Chief Executive Officer of GMA-7, increased this year 2020.
There are several millionaires and billionaires in the Philippines and a lot of them are part of the showbiz industry. However, some of them are not very popular in public as they are not taking the big screens – not actors, actresses, nor singers.
These individuals are those behind what is shown in the big screens – they are part of the companies that produced the projects. One of them is Mr. Felipe Gozon.
The Kapuso stars would usually be heard thanking Mr. Felipe Gozon when they make tributes over a successful project. He is the GMA-7 chairman and as well as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kapuso network.
Gozon is an 80-year-old lawyer. He is leading the Kapuso network together with his brother-in-law, Menardo Jimenez, who is currently 87 years old.
Mr. Felipe Gozon is one of those in Forbes’ list of the 2020 richest personalities in the Philippines. He is also one of those whose net worth grew despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in businesses.
According to Forbes, the 2020 net worth of Gozon is $170 million or around Php 8.2 billion. It grew by 17% from his 2019 net worth of $145 million or Php 7 billion.
Following the shutting down of the ABS-CBN network, the net worth of the owner of GMA-7’s rival network decreased. It dropped by almost 50% as most of Oscar Lopez’s earning is from the network. It was more than three months ago since the Kapamilya network shut down.
From $460 million or Php 22.3 billion in 2019, Lopez’s net worth dropped to $240 million or around Php 11.6 billion this 2020 as to Forbes‘ list. He has several other businesses like infrastructure but a huge part of his income is from the network.
