Venezuela President Guilty According To UN Probe

VENEZUELA PRESIDENT GUILTY – The United Nations tagged the highest officials of Venezuela for probable crimes against humanity.

Velenzuela’s highest ranking officials were investigated for an array of alleged violations. Furthermore, the probe into these allegations revealed that President Nicolas Maduro was behind serious crimes such as extrajudicial killings and use of torture.

As a response, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza took to Twitter and denounced the report. Moreover, he called the investigation “drawn up remotely without methodological rigor”. Along with this, he claimed that the investigators were “controlled by governments that are subservient to Washington”.

Meanwhile, the chairperson of the International Fact-Finding Mission established by the United Nations said they found “reasonable grounds to believe that Venezuelan authorities and security forces have since 2014 planned and executed serious human rights violations.”.

According to an article from ABS-CBN, opposition leader Juan Guaido stated that the reports clearly revealed that Madura was a criminal who supports drug trafficking, terrorism, and commits crimes against humanity.

The investigators reviewed over 2,500 cases since 2014 which let to the deaths of 5,000 people at the hands of security forces. Additionally, investigators noted that the extrajudicial killings was part of the admin’s plan to eliminate unwanted opposition in the guise of fighting crime.
