Is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Running for Vice President in 2022 Elections?
ISKO MORENO – The Mayor of Manila reacted to speculations that he will run for vice president in the 2022 National Elections.
The next national election is still two years from now. However, as early as now, some people are already looking forward to casting their votes as there are residents who are really disappointed with the performance of their officials.
Undeniably, one of the public servants whom a lot of people admire is Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. The actor-turned-politician defeated former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada in the mayoralty race last May 2019.

The governance of Mayor Isko Moreno has sparked a lot of reports about his positive works in Manila. It was followed by speculations that he might ran for vice president in the 2022 National Elections.
Recently, the Manila Mayor broke his silence on the issue. Speaking to ABS-CBN News’ Karen Davila, the Mayor stressed that all politicians including himself aspire for a higher position after setting foot in the field of politics.
According to him, that is why a lot of politicians got comments in certain issues. He expressed that everyone wants to be president.
“Lahat ng pulitiko gustong maging Presidente kaya ngayon maraming atat. Napansin mo ngayon, iyong ibang pulitiko mema – may masabi lang to be involved,” he expressed.
Based on the report, Mayor Isko stressed that now is not the time for the aspirations of the politicians over posts in the political field. According to him, the problem now is the COVID-19 pandemic and the focus should be on it.
The Manila City Mayor said that the government must be fair to the people by focusing on the pandemic now. According to him, there is time for politics later on and it will really come.
