Son Ye-Jin, Hyun Bin, Park Seo-Joon To Headline Korean Film Festival 2020 In PH

SON YE-JIN – South Korea’s biggest names Son Ye-Jin, Hyun Bin, and Park Seo-Joon will headline the Korean Film Festival 2020 in the Philippines.

Pinoys have been very welcoming to the culture of the South Koreans especially in the aspect of entertainment. The two countries have long been enjoying a strong bilateral relationship.

In 2011, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) opened its doors to the public to expand the appreciation and understanding of the Korean culture. They also aim to promote a more active exchange between the Republic of the Philippines and Korea.

Last Tuesday, September 8, the KCC in the Philippines announced on their Facebook Page that Korean superstars Son Ye-Jin, Hyun Bin, and, Park Seo-Joon will take the spotlight on their first virtual Korean Film Festival (KFF) in the Philippines. Surely, the Pinoy fans of these actors are excited to see some of their films in the comfort of their homes.

Due to the global health crisis, the KFF 2020 will no longer push through with the screening is in cinemas. But it doesn’t mean the fun also stops because fans are getting a virtual cinema experience.

In KCC’s FB post, they announced that starting September 12 until October 2, Filipino fans can watch two films each from Son Ye-Jin, Hyun Bin, and Park Seo-Joon. The online event is dubbed “The Celebrity Spotlight.”

Kicking off the Korean film Festival 2020 is Hyun Bin with his films “Confidential Assignment” and “The Swindlers” on September 12-18. Next up is Son Ye-Jin with her movies “Last Princess” and “Be With You” on September 19-25. Park Seo-Joon’s films “The Beauty Inside” and “Midnight Runners” will take the spotlight from September 26 to October 2.
