Vivian Velez Allegedly Refuses To Give Leo Martinez's Retirement Pay

Film Academy of the Philippines Director-General Vivian Velez allegedly refused to give the retirement pay of former FAP Director-General Leo Martinez.

Velez has been involved in several issues concerning the government as she is one of the known supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte. She enthusiastically defends the administration in whatever issue.

Based on the article by entertainment writer Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, the recent issue being thrown against Velez is the allegation that she does not want to give the retirement of Martinez.

According to Rula, they sent a text message to Velez to ask about the issues being thrown to her including this recent one. However, she has not yet answered these issues. The columnist said that the FAP Director-General has a reason why she is holding the retirement pay.

It was said that Martinez already raised this issue to Malacanang. Rula added that Martinez perhaps needed to pass some requirements and answer the questions from Velez before his retirement pay will be given.

However, Rula stressed in his article that people in the entertainment industry have been divided due to political reasons. To recall, Vivian Velez was in a hot seat after she commented against the outfit of Vice President Leni Robredo.

In line with that issue, PAGCOR official Jimmy Bondoc defended his fellow Duterte supporter.

“Sa totoo, nakikita ko kung saan nanggagaling itong katulad nga nina Vivian dahil nga sa giyera at tingin natin kunyari man foul itong ginawa ni Mam Vivian, napakadami rin kasing foul na nangagaling sa kabila,” Bondoc said.

He added that he knows that Vivian Velez is a good person and that she is smart. Bondoc stressed that just like other people who can get fed up by the PR campaigns, Velez also gets frustrated at times.
