Paolo Santos Reacts To Announcement That He's Part of DDS Concert

Singer Paolo Santos has this reaction to the announcement that he is one of the artists who will perform in an online concert for President Rodrigo Duterte titled Singing For A Friend.

The Chief Executive undoubtedly has many supporters in the entertainment industry. There had been several showbiz personalities and celebrities who showed support for his administration. This is despite the fact also that the President has critics within the same industry.

Based on a recent report, President Duterte’s supporters are set to do an online concert for him. NDMstudios’ Facebook Page announced that the event will be held on August 30, from 2 PM onwards.

The announcement also revealed the artists who will be performing on the said event. Apparently, one of the names listed there was Paolo Santos. However, netizens reacted on Twitter upon seeing the name of the singer.

Many were surprised that he is a DDS or “die-hard Duterte supporter”. “Is Paolo Santos still a DDS? doesnt mean kasi if u campaigned for duterte u r still a supporter. Should we always blame the voters instead of failed leadership? always ba ang citizens ang at fault? What kind of mentality ba na uy,” Twitter user @aynihatesyou tweeted.

However, Paolo clarified this on his recent Facebook post that he is not part of the online concert. “I’d like to make it clear here that I am not participating in it and have nothing to do with it,” he said in his post.

This statement from him came after the confusion it has created on social media and he wanted to clarify to his friends and family concerned.
