Sibling of Actor-Director Cloyd Robinson’s Talent Confirmed the Darna at Ding Filmmaker Died
ACTOR-DIRECTOR CLOYD ROBINSON – Mel Turqueza’s sibling confirmed that the veteran actor-director died.
Several personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry are not only into acting but as well as directing. They do not only take pride in being in front of the camera but as well as in being behind excellent movies and projects.
One of the veteran filmmakers in the country is Cloyd Robinson – who is also an actor. He managed to stay in the industry for decades and many won’t surely forget his masterpieces.
Cloyd was known for his movies Risa Jones: Showgirl in 1979; Love Affair in 1980; and Darna at Ding in the same year. He was also a part of several films including Lapu-Lapu in 2002; I’ve Fallen For You in 2007; and My Illegal Wife in 2014.
Recently, a sad update about actor-director Cloyd Robinson crossed the surface. Speaking to Pep, Josephine “Pen” Turquez confirmed that he died.
Pen is the sibling of Mel Turqueza, one of Direk Cloyd’s talents. Based on the report, they were not allowed to hold a wake for the actor-director as the health center did not permit it considering that mass gatherings are not allowed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The remains of the 71-year-old filmmaker are set to be cremated today, September 3. According to Pen, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado took charge of the expenses for the cremation as the director’s camp is falling short of budget and they’re supposedly waiting for his sibling’s financial assistance from Bacolod.
