Amazing Photos of Moon Halo Spotted in La Trinidad, Benguet
A moon halo was spotted across the sky of La Trinidad, Benguet, is it indicating another calamity or it was just an ordinary phenomena?
22° halo or popularly known as moon ring is an optical phenomenon wherein a ring could be found around the moon. The halo appears large with its radius could have a length of an outstretched hand at arm’s length.
According to folklores, moon ring is an indication of impending calamities, disasters, and other unexpected incidents such as storms. However, there is still no proof or evidence that halo is a sign of bad weather.
Recently, the Facebook page “The Story of Anthony” has shared the photos of moon halo found in La Trinidad, Benguet. The photos of the natural phenomenon earned comments from some social media users.
In the photos, it can be seen that the halo is surrounding the moon, which lightens up the sky of the province. The residents in the area were amazed by the beauty of the rare astrological event.
