SUPERMOON PHENOMENON – The Flower Moon or the last supermoon of 2020 rises amid the coronavirus disease outbreak.

On Thursday evening (May 7, 2020), the last supermoon of the year appears in the sky as the world re-emerged from the lockdown. The astronomical phenomenon captured the attention of people all around the world due to its beauty.

The previous supermoons of the year 2020 have been recorded last March and April while the last has been recorded on May 7. Many people from Hong Kong to Jerusalem to Caracas take photos of the rare phenomenon.

Meanwhile, the residents in Europe and Asia find it difficult to see the full-flower moon as clouds obscure the view. The May’s full moon occurred at the peak of the Northern Hemisphere spring.

The supermoon usually occurs when the moon appears within 10 percent of its closest distance to the planet during a full moon. It appears larger than the usual full moon, which can be seen frequently.
