Xian Lim Grants Grandmother’s Wish

XIAN LIM – Actor Xian Lim has granted the wish of his cancer-stricken grandmother.

American-Filipino actor, model, and host Xian Lim is best known for his roles in “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo,” “My Binondo Girl,” and “Bride For Rent.” He has hosted several major televised events such as Binibining Pilipinas and Miss Grand International in Vietnam.

Last August 24, the 31-year-old celebrity revealed that his grandmother has been diagnosed with cancer. He made the announcement in a 3-minute video he uploaded on his Instagram.

In the video he posted, Xian Lim turned emotional as he revealed the diagnosis of his 87-year-old grandmother. He said he wanted to make the video to remind his followers not to take time for granted.

“I guess it’s more for people to take a moment and enjoy the moments you have with family and friends. If you have a moment of your time right now, just stop and go with your mom, your dad, your grandpa, your lola and just say ‘I love you’ to them. Enjoy them while they’re still around,” he said.

In a post on his Instagram account last August 25, Xian Lim shared that he decided to build a new room for his grandmother. He said she requested for it in their family home.

“After going to the hospital to check up on my grandmother’s operation, I’m now building/ setting up a new room she requested sa bahay,” he said.

Xian Lim said grandmother requested to fill her room with figurines and clowns, particularly “roosters” and “witches.” “Don’t ask why… It’s been her thing ever since I can remember… Oh, and ventriloquist puppets daw as well because it makes her happy,” he added.
