Following this, the office of the Manila Mayor ordered to shut down the distributor and the company Elegant Fumes. In the Mayor’s statement on his Twitter account, he stressed, “Hindi po ako governor ng China. Mayor po ako ng Maynila, Pilipinas.”

He said that he will not allow entities to ridicule the capital city of the Philippines. The Mayor also said that as long as he is the administrator of the city, he will not allow this kind of act. “Hindi po ito katanggap-tanggap sa akin bilang Pilipino, bilang Manilenyo,” he added.

Mayor Isko Moreno also said that after shutting down the business he also ordered to deport the two Chinese nationals who did this. They will be declared also as “undesirable aliens”.

The actor-turned-politician stressed also that his office will not allow somebody to claim ownership over the Philippines and the city of Manila.
