What will happen if Alma Moreno, Rosanna Roces, Ara Mina, and Maui Taylor are together in one movie?
First time in the history of movies in the Philippine entertainment industry that these 4 daring actresses from different generations are together in one screen – Alma Moreno, Rosanna Roces, Ara Mina, and Maui Taylor.
Movie director Darryl Yap announced just recently in his Facebook post that the said these actresses joined forces for a new movie titled P()rnst@r. Based on the article from the Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub, this will serve also as a launching movie of a new daring star.
The film is under Viva Films and the shooting commenced amid the pandemic. Cast members were in a lock-in shooting for almost two weeks.
“Ito ay isang katangi-tanging likhang isinulat, binuo at tinapos sa kalagitnaan ng pandemya. Kasama dito sina Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, Rosanna Roces at Alma Moreno na gaganap bilang kanilang mga sarili,” Direk Darryl shared in his post.
The aforementioned actresses did several titillating films during the height of their careers. For the director, the movie will show how a daring star is being developed and presented to be someone that many people admire.
“Ikaw? Paglaki mo, anong gusto mong maging? Paglaki ko, gusto kong maging P()RNST@R! Malapit Na!” the director also said.
After the three movies of Darryl Yap titled Jowable, Tililing, and Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam, this will be his fourth movie under Viva Films.
During the 70s up to the early 2000s, daring films occupied a major part of the movie industry in the country. However, former daring star Ina Raymundo revealed that she was mistreated when she was doing titillating films. Eventually, this trend just died out.
