Is it true that the grandmother of Angelica Panganiban needs help?
A netizen shared this post that the grandmother of actress Angelica Panganiban, Aling Leoning, is in “dire need of help”.
Angelica was born Angelica Charlson and she acquired her surname Panganiban from her adoptive family. Starting her showbiz career at an early age, people have long been familiar with that name – from a child actress until she bloomed into one of the most respected stars in the entertainment industry.
However, Twitter user @ChakaAkoBlog who goes by the name Tonya Wiggins revealed in her post last August 7 that the real grandmother of Angelica needs financial assistance.
“Angelica Panganiban’s REAL lola Aling Leoning is in dire need of help in amidst of the worsening pandemic. I know her personally and I just saw her today so please, let’s help her if she won’t. Apparently she hasn’t received help or financial assistance from her for a long time,” the twitter post stated.
The post also included the photo of Aling Leoning as well as a doctor’s prescription for the medicine that she needs. Several netizens inquired how they could extend help for the elderly.

A netizen asked if there are means to send money to her and Tonya Wiggins has this reply: “Hi! She doesn’t have a gcash or bank account, so I think it’s best to visit her personally. Her house is located at Lara Cor. Delpan St., San Nicolas (Look for Aling Leoning). She currently lives in a barong barong.”
According to entertainment columnist Alex Brosas of Bandera, this “chika” is hard to believe because Angelica Panganiban is known to be a generous person to those who are in need. He added that they don’t believe that the actress is capable of ignoring her grandmother.
