Oil Firms To Implement Gas Price Hike This Week

Several oil firms are set to implement increase on prices of petroleum products this week due to the movement of its price on world market.

Nowadays, millions of people in various countries all around the world are struggling financially due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The virus is not only affecting the public’s health but also the global economy.

The movement of oil prices affects the prices of most products and service because the petroleum product is also considered as essential to transportation. The adjustment of oil prices also contributes to the burden of Filipino drivers and motorists.

Some oil companies are set to implement an oil price hike this week due to the movement of petroleum price in the global market. The oil price changes would take effect on Tuesday (August 18, 2020).

Shell and Petro Gazz would impose a P0.60/ liter increase on prices of Gasoline and P0.10 per liter of Diesel at 6:00 am on Tuesday. While, Clean Fuel would implement the same price changes at 4:01 pm on Tuesday also.
