Oil Companies Set Fuel Price Adjustments This Week

FUEL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS – Several oil companies have set a fuel price adjustments this week amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Nowadays, a lot of Filipino people are struggling with their daily necessities due to the lack of job opportunities amid the health crisis. Many of our countrymen are living under the line of extreme poverty with no enough food on the table.

The pandemic does not only affect the public’s health but also the global economy. The movement in oil prices also contributes to the price adjustment of food products and other items.

Recently, several oil companies announced an adjustment on the prices of petroleum products including gasoline, diesel and kerosene. The oil firms announced both hike and roll back in fuel prices.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and SEAOIL Philippines Inc. announced a P0.25/per liter increase in prices of gasoline but would cut the prices of kerosene by P0.35 and P0.20 per liter of diesel. Meanwhile, Petro Gazz would impose the same adjustment except for kerose.

The price adjustments would take effect at 6am on Tuesday (August 10, 2020). Other companies are also expected to set price changes later this week.
