Update on Actor John Regala’s Condition Now
JOHN REGALA – The former actor has already been discharged from the hospital after eight (8) days of confinement.
Many people surely know actor John Regala. He is one of the celebrities who have done a lot of “kontrabida” roles in the Philippine entertainment industry. It is amid his few protagonist roles in some of the projects he did.
More than a week ago, John went trending on social media after a GrabFood driver found him dizzy and hungry in Pasay City. Upon knowing it, many of his celebrity friends abruptly looked for ways to help the actor.
Among those who helped John is writer Aster Amoyo and his fellow celebrities Chuckie Dreyfus and Nadia Montenegro. Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño also helped and visited him at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI).

John has gout, liver cirrhosis, and kidney problem. A lot of people extended their help so he can be admitted to a hospital and many hospitals do not easily approve admission considering the safety of the patient as they deal with COVID-19 cases.
The former actor was confined at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI). Several tests were performed to him including the taking of fluid from his painful knees to check for possible infection.
Recently, Aster Amoyo gave an update about John Regala now. Based on her post on Facebook, the actor was released from the hospital after eight (8) days of confinement.
The showbiz writer expressed her prayer that he will continue to get better. She also expressed gratitude to everyone who donated and helped the former actor. Here’s the Facebook post:
