AIKO MELENDEZ – Actress Aiko Melendez shared the secrets to her weight loss during the quarantine.
Filipina actress and former politician Aiko Melendez was the blockbuster leading lady from the late ‘80s through the ’90s. She was paired with prominent actors like Richard Gomez, Aga Muhlach, and Jomari Yllana.
Last May, she replied to a netizen who gave hurtful comments about her appearance. She told the netizen that envy will not bring them anywhere.
Aiko Melendez recently surprised her fans and fellow celebrities with her slimmer figure. She proudly flaunted her long legs and curves in a pink swimsuit on her Instagram post last August 4. It came with a caption, “Bounce back 10x stronger.”
In one of her Youtube vlogs, the veteran actress revealed that she has been losing weight through a calorie-counting diet. She said she only consumes 500 calories a day. She successfully maintained her figure despite the quarantine.
In an interview with Unang Hirit, Aiko Melendez revealed her secrets on losing weight during the lockdown. She also shared the steps she took just to maintain her amazing body shape.
The 44-year-old actress said she really discipline herself with the food she eats every day. “I went as low as 500 calories on my first month, ganun ka wild talaga,” she said.
Aiko Melendez also said that the quarantine helped her monitor her meals. “At least sa bahay lang ako. Monitored ko ‘yung pagkain ko, so I have to prepare my meals. talagang kina-count ko ‘yun. May app ako to count all the food I eat, so disciplinado talaga and the lifestyle talaga, to chage it,” she said.
