Richard Gomez Ride Motorcycle without Barrier to Support the #NotoBarrier Campaign

Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez rides a motorcycle with his daughter Juliana as a back rider without using a barrier to show that he is against the law.

Richard previously warned the lawmakers who implemented the protective barrier for motorcycle riders with back riders that is very dangerous. In Mayor Goma’s opinion, that barrier is being blown away and dangerous for the rider and back rider.

He also says that that is not the protection needed because if the rider coughs, even if you say there is a barrier it will still reach the rider, based on the article of Manila Bulletin. “Inilalagay lang niyan ang rider at ang angkas sa mas matinding peligro,” he said.

Lots of association of motorcycle riders said that it is dangerous, even engineers, and even the manufacturers of motorcycles that even sent their representatives, but the IATF did not listen to that. They still insist that the barrier is needed.

Meanwhile, the Ormoc City Mayor took a breather from work and took out his fancy big bike for a ride. With his daughter Juliana, they have drivers around the serene Lake Danao Park in the City.

The father and daughter rider the motorcycle and roam around without using a barrier. This is to show that the Ormoc Mayor is against and does not support the use of barriers in motorcycle riding.
