Cops Recover Suspected Illegal Drugs From Construction Worker Apprehended for Not Wearing Face Mask
The cops seize suspect illegal drugs from a construction worker who has been apprehended for not wearing a facemask in Taguig City.
The Southern Police District apprehended a construction worker at a border checkpoint in the city of Taguig for not wearing a face mask. The 40-year-old man has been apprehended between Barangay Bagumbayan and Sucat.
The police authorities reportedly recovered four sachets of suspected illegal drugs from the male resident identified as “Randy” during the frisking and apprehension. Randy is facing several charges.
The suspect would face charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and notifiable diseases law, according to the authorities.
The Sucat-Bagumbayan border checkpoint is one of the border checkpoint placed for the stricter implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine. The MECQ would last for 15 days.
The modified enhanced community quarantine is being implemented over the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal until August 18, 2020. The operations of public transportation under MECQ are prohibited.
However, private vehicles such as personal vehicles or company shuttles are allowed to operate to help frontliners to go to work.
