Shooting Incident At Checkpoint In Sultan Kudarat Leaves One Cop Dead

SULTAN KUDARAT – A shooting incident recently occurred at a checkpoint in Sultan Kudarat province, which ended up with one cop dead.

Furthermore, three more people were injured at a checkpoint the fatality guarded at the municipality of Esperanza in the province of Sultan Kudarat, according to a report from GMA News’ Balitambayan.

The fatality was identified as Police Executive Master Sergeant Arnold Paclibar. Among those who were injured by the shootout included a policeman as well.

Based on the report, initial investigation shows that they flagged down a motorcycle approaching the area. The motorcycle driver turned its back then allegedly opened fire at the policemen guarding the checkpoint.

As of the moment, the authorities are currently pursuing the suspect.

Meanwhile, another policeman was shot to death when he was suspected to be an enemy.

The incident occurred at Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay where he was shot by his fellow co-police. The latter said that he regretted what he did.

The victim came inside the station without a police uniform, which prompted the cop to suspect himm as an enemy and killed him.
