Comedian-host-vlogger Michael V, also known as Bitoy, shared the possible reason why he got infected with COVID-19.
Amid the pandemic, Bitoy also stopped his showbiz engagements but he continued to do vlogs. In his July 20 vlog, he revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
He also shared that it was difficult for him to be away from his loved ones as he needed to isolate himself. After he shared that he was getting better, he revealed in his vlog that he experienced discrimination.
“Kahit naka-full PPE (personal protective equipment) ka iniiwasan ka ng mga tao, kinatatakutan, pinandidirihan,” the comedian said.
Michael V also shared in his recent video blog what he thought as a possibility where he got the virus.

“Marami pa rin nagtatanong kung saan ko nakuha ‘yung virus, so let me tell you what I think. Noong early July bumiyahe kami sa Batangas at kahit bahay-kotse-bahay lang ‘yung naging sistema namin papunta at babalik, siyempre, ‘yun agad ang pumasok sa isip ko. Doon sa biyahe na ‘yun tatlong tao lang ang nakalapit sa akin at lahat sila ay ngayon ay negative,” he said.
Four of his companions in the house also got tested and one turned out to have gotten the virus but asymptomatic. Compared to his wife and their children, he was the one who has mostly had contact with other people. That made him conclude that he did not get the virus from their Batangas trip.
“Ang duda ko deliveries, pero FYI lahat ng deliveries na dumarating hindi nakakapasok sa studio na hindi sina-sanitize,” Bitoy shared. However, he said that he might have opened some packages but forgot to sanitize them and just used them immediately.
“Sa sobrang atat ko, malamang hindi ko na nasanitize ‘yung nasa loob nung package, ‘yun lang ang nakikita kong paraan para makasingit ‘yung virus sa katawan ko,” the comedian shared.
