According to ABS-CBN News, the modified enhanced community quarantine in Manila and surrounding province will limit public transport and work in some industries, according to Guido David of the UP Institute of Mathematics.

David added that the second strictest lockdown level will help reduce transmission since infection increases happen when people go out.

Within these two weeks, the spread will slow down but is still unable to flatten the curve since it is too short.

David cited that it took Cebu to flatten the curve in a month.

The lockdown also covers the capital region and Laguna, Rizal and Bulacan provinces, based on the report.

MECQ bans buses, jeepneys, taxis, ride-hailing services, and tricycles from plying the roads, and limits the operation of manufacturing plants and other establishments to half of their capacity.
