Being the father of his family, he must provide for them and his work as an actor has made him provide for them sufficiently and live a comfortable life. However, the lock down due to pandemic happened and the ABS-CBN network officially closed down. His bills piled up and that’s why he accepted the said project.

“Siguro malaking factor yung nagwo-worry na rin yung pamilya ko sa anong ibabayad sa kuryente, sa tubig, sa mga monthly amortization,” he said. He shared that celebrities like him have invested into something it just so happened that a health crisis emerged and their network stopped broadcasting.

He added, “Simula talagang mag-work, kasi if not, magiging stagnant talaga yung buhay. Paano yung monthly amortizations?”

According to PEP’s report, the shooting will start in August and the scenes will be shot in Batangas and Cavite. The “Escape From Mamasapano” is based on a true event that has happened last January 2015 where 44 members of the Philippine National Police elite Special Action Force (SAF) got killed in a clash versus a local rebel group. Along with him are actors such as Aljur Abrenica, Edu Manzano, Ritz Azul, Tonton Gutierrez, Congressman Mikey Arroyo, and Claudine Barretto.

JC is engaged to partner Rikkah Cruz and they already have a two-year-old daughter.
