Erik Matti Air Dismay to MMFF for Including Vice Ganda Film in Lineup
ERIK MATTI- Veteran director air dismay to Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) committee for including Vice Ganda’s film in the lineup.
Erik Matti took Facebook to mock the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) executive committee after announcing that the film of Vice Ganda the “Praybeyt Benjamin 3” was included on the lineup for the celebration this coming December.

On his Facebook account, the award-winning director expressed disappointment to MMFF for the lack of changes in the selection process. Pointing out the country’s problem facing right now but still choose Vice’s entry.
He said “Bagsak na nga ang pelikula, sumara na ABS, Praybeyt Benjamin pa rin palabas sa Pasko? Walang nagbago a! Kinangkina!”

He also said on another post “5 months lockdown. Thousands of content binged. The biggest network closes. Praybeyt Benjamin. We never learned.”

The MMFF announced last week the first four films included in the festival. The four selected are The Exorcism of My Siszums starring Toni and Alex Gonzaga (comedy-horror) under TinCan Productions director and scriptwriter Fifth Solomon.
The second entry is Praybeyt Benjamin 3 (comedy) starring Vice Ganda. The lead actress is said to be finalized but under ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc. and Viva Films. The third is The Friends of Mama Susan starring Joshua Garcia and Angie Ferro under Regal Films (horror) under the direction of Chito Roño.
The fourth entry is Magikland (fantasy adventure) starring Jun Urbano, Migs Cuaderno, Joshua Eugerio, Jamir Sabarte, and Dwight Gastos. Lead actress Bibeth Orteza, Elijah Aleto, Princess Alijah Rabara, Hailey Mendez, among others.
The late Peque Gallaga was the original director of the movie but was ended by Christian Acuña under Brighlight Leisure Productions, Inc. (Albee Benitez) and Gallaga Reyes Films. Out of the four films, Magikland is already finished.
