Philippines Statistics Authority Taps Sarah Geronimo To Promote Population, Housing Census Campaign
SARAH GERONIMO – The Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) tapped Sarah Geronimo to promote population and housing census campaign.
Multi-awarded singer and actress Sarah Geronimo has starred in many movies including “Miss Granny” and “It Takes a Man and a Woman.” In February, she and actor Matteo Guidicelli tied the knot with a civil wedding ceremony at a hotel in Bonifacio Global City.
Their fellow celebrities and fans expressed their joy on social media regarding Sarah and Matteo’s wedding. They dated for 6 years before getting engaged
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, ‘Popstar Royalty’ Sarah Geronimo is the new endorser of the Philippines Statistics Authority’s (PSA) population and housing census. She was chosen to encourage everyone to participate in the census scheduled in September this year.
The singer’s infomercial was dubbed “Sama Na, Census Na.” The video was presented to the entertainment media during a virtual presscon. Sarah shot the audio-visual presentation before the lockdown in NCR.

According to the report, PSA chief Joseph Cajita said Sarah Geronimo was unanimously picked due to her “massive influence.” PSA official also praised the singer’s professionalism in the AVP shoot.
“From the start, siya ang gusto namin. Malakas ang hatak niya sa all sectors sa publiko at bumagay lalo siya sa aming campaign dahil sa bagong status niya bilang may asawa… We are glad that she agreed to be our ambassadress for the census campaign.”
“Wala pong political color, affiliation or whatever ditto… Kailangan lang talaga natin ng bagong inventory ng ating populasyon at housing na huling nagawa nung 2010,” she added.
