It Takes A Man And A Woman Box Office Income Reaches P200 Million in 8 Days

The top-grossing movie featuring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo titled “It Takes A Man And A Woman” has already breached the P200-million mark in box office earnings after 8 days of showing.

The figures came from Star Cinema’s PR executive Roxy Liquigan, which was quoted as saying the the movie has already earned P201 million as of Saturday, April 6, 2013.

John Lloyd also acknowledged and thanks his supporters for the ever-loyal support of his movie with Sarah G. during his appearance on ASAP 18, on Sunday, April 7.

The third installment of the Sarah G & John Lloyd movie is also up against Hollywood favorites such as “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “The Host” but the Filipino film have already garnered a huge following.

Based upon the figures from Box Office Mojo, the movie, “It Takes A Man And A Woman” paired well against G.I Joe during their first two days of showing although the Pinoy films was shown only on 160 theaters compared to GI Joe’s 221 screens. The Pinoy movie took home P60,975,425 while the J.I. Joe took home P48,496,277 in the first two days of showing.

The first two movies of John Lloyd and Sarah G. were already listed among the highest grossing local films of all time, “A Very Special Love” released on 2008 made P179.3 million while “You Changed My Life” released on 2009 earned P225.2 million during its theatrical run.
