Nikki Valdez Tells Followers: ‘Tao lang din kami’
NIKKI VALDEZ – Actress Nikki Valdes reminded her followers to be kind to celebrities online because they are humans with feelings too.
ABS-CBN celebrities and supporters took to the streets on Saturday, July 18 after the lawmakers rejected the franchise application of the largest media company in the Philippines and days after the tv network’s bosses announced the retrenchment affecting thousands of workers.
Artists held a noise barrage and motorcade protest that passed through several cities in Manila. ‘Darna’ actress Angel Locsin was among the protesters.
In a previous article, Angel Locsin called out her fellow celebrities who remain silent about the issue. Other celebs who joined the rally were Maymay Entrata, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Edward Barber, and Nikki Valdez.
After joining the ABS-CBN rally, Valdez took to her IG account on Monday, July 20, to air her sentiments regarding the netizens who have been attacking the supporters of the ABS-CBN network.

In her post, Nikki Valdez reminded the social media users that celebrities are humans with feelings too. “It’s funny how bashers tend to play victim after magboomerang sa kanila lahat ng pinagsasabi at ginawa nila,” she wrote.
“We may be “artistas” or public figures whose lives are exposed to the public but you have to remember, tao lang din kami. So pag may sinabi kayong hindi maganda, do you expect us to just let it go? Pag sumosobra na kayo, hindi naman ata pwede yun.”
Nikki Valdez said she’s trying to understand and accept how people become mean online. She reminded netizens to be more considerate and sensitive of their comments online.
“Subukan natin ilagay ang mga sarili natin sa sitwasyon ng iba bago tayo magsalita for we will never understand what others are going through until we are in the same situation as they are,” she added.
