PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates For Saturday (July 18)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would continue to affect the Philippine weather condition.

On Saturday (July 18, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The ITCZ would bring cloudy skies and rains over several parts of the country.

PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Qurino, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mt. Province and Benguet.

The same weather condition is also expected over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao would be slight to moderate. The rest of Luzon is also expected to experience the same surrounding sea conditions.
