PAGASA – ITCZ To Affect Parts Of PH This July 17, 2020
PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this July 17, 2020.
The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on this day.
According to GMA News, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Caraga will face cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to southeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun has risen at 5:35 AM an is expected to set at 6:29 PM.
