ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin has hit back to the suggestion of Villafuerte for Lopezes which is to sell ABS-CBN.
Camarines Sur’s 2nd District Representative ‘LRay’ Villafuerte has suggested in a previous article for the Lopez family to just sell their corporation. He was one of the 70 lawmakers who voted to junk the franchise renewal application of the ABS-CBN.
He justified his suggestion saying that if the owners really care for their employees and if they want to really serve the Filipino people, they should just sell the company. He, himself, said that he will support the renewal with the condition of it being under a new management.
With this, Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin lambasted his suggestion asking if this has been “the plan ever since”. She hoped that this will never happen “in favor of cronies and media propaganda” to fool the people. She added, “Marami pong nakabantay. Ako’y umaasang gagawin natin kung ano pong makakabuti para sa bayan at hindi sa mga personal agenda.”

The non-renewal of their franchise happened despite the network has proven their innocence from all the accusations and issues. Among were unpaid tax to which the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has refuted and the controversial citizenship of Gabby Lopez to which the Department of Justice (DOJ) has confirmed that he’s a Filipino.
Other government agencies like the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) also cleared the network of their violations. More issues have been tackled and cleared during the previous hearings such as inappropriate program content, meddling in politics, and less than exemplary labor practices.
