Young Breadwinner Works Hard to Feed Family & Support Medication of Parents

The tearjerking photos of a young breadwinner working hard to feed his family and to support the medication of his sick parents goes viral.

The Facebook page “GMA Public Affairs” has shared the photos of a young boy working hard just to earn for money to support the medication of his parents and to provide food for their family. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that the little boy is selling broom, sponge, and other products during the daytime. He is also selling “Balut” during nighttime for an additional income. He is selling the products along North Caloocan.

The kid identified as Manny has to work hard during this time of coronavirus pandemic. He sacrificed his childhood and desire to play with other teenagers just to provide the necessities of his beloved family.

Manny’s father is already paralyzed while his mother has tuberculosis, which leaves him no choice but to work at his very young age. “Makita ko lang na masaya ang mga magulang ko, masaya na ako.” Manny said.

Baldado ang ama at may Tuberculosis naman ang ina ni Manny. Kaya naman, sa murang edad siya na lang ang inaasahan ng kanilang pamilya.

Hindi naman niya alintana ang magbanat ng buto pero mas naging mahirap ang kanilang kalagayan nang pumutok ang pandemya. Kinailangan niya tuloy isantabi ang paglalaro para matustusan ang kanilang mga pangangailangan.

Tuwing umaga matiyagang binabaybay ni Manny ang mga baranggay sa North Caloocan para magtinda ng walis, sponge at iba pang gamit sa bahay. Pagdating naman ng hapon hanggang gabi, nag-iikot muli si Manny para naman maglako ng balut. Ito lang kasi ang nakikita niyang paraan para buhayin ang kanyang pamilya.”
